The Last Train (UE4 Group Project)

This project was a class project for one semester, targeting us with interpreting the TV Show, The Last Train, with our own concept and vision. Within our class we divided into small groups (like a studio), tackling various areas of the project. I worked closely with the Environment team as the Lead Artist for the Prop team’s production on this project. I kept a close-link between both groups, relaying information, assets, materials and more from one side to the other, whilst producing my own assets for use in the scene.

The above prop video highlights my work produced during the project.

List of my activities on this project:

  • Leading the prop team, organising scrums for our team and leading presentations
  • Create all foliage within the scene, setting-up shaders within UE for wind movements, two-sided lighting etc.
  • Created miscellaneous props/environment pieces such as the metallic rusted bin, bin bags and St. Paul building
  • Captured photos for and stitched a panorama outside Sheffield Train Station, later utilised for IBL (Image Based Lighting) within both UE4 & Marmoset Toolbag 2
  • Create and edit the final presentations and video deliverable for our team’s hand-in
